>Our hot water too hot. Like most RV hot water heaters, ours is set to heat to a scalding 140 degrees… unnecessarily hot. Not only would a lower temperature be safer it saves both energy and money.
Here’s a three-minute segment from the RV Today video archives shows how to replace the original fixed thermostat with one that can be adjusted to a lower temperature.
Keep in mind lowering the water temp will reduce the amount of time you can spend in the shower because you won’t be able to mix as much cold water and still have a comfortable shower temp.
